V in London
Hi
Linda,
I
just wanted to drop you a line to provide you with feedback regarding my surgery
with Mr V. I had my consultation in January and had time to think about
the operation and the consultation was excellent, no pressure and no feeling of
having to book until I was ready. He is very friendly and approachable, made me
feel at ease, he is very professional and made sure I understood the
implications, risks and also that at 47 I was not going to have an 18 year old
body! He showed me photographs and talked through what he could do for me and I
did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. He also suggested Internet research and I
watched a you tube of him performing the operation so I knew what to
expect.
I
thought about it for a few weeks, then booked my operation for 1 May. Mr
V also explained that he would like to undertake some liposuction that I
had not thought about on my back, so he did everything at the same time and I
went ahead with this, overall results look better having had this
done.
He
is always at the end of email or phone and as you said, has plenty of PAs and
staff to help him, I had my operation at the ......, the nurses there
were not as good as the Highgate, considering it was a private hospital, a couple
were rude and dismissive and appeared over worked, or unsure of what they were
to do with the wounds (but Mr V could tell I was worried so he did the
dressing himself) but I may have just been unlucky with the nurses at that time
– that said, Mr V explained since that the anaesthetist (lovely lady,
very professional and friendly) preferred this hospital as it was larger than
Highgate and had aftercare and emergency backup services in the event of any
unexpected emergencies etc.
I
have had several follow ups with Mr V so there is no “taking the money
and that’s it” approach, he saw me several times after the operation and I am
going back in June for another check up.
Linda
– I can’t believe I have the tummy I have now even just 3 weeks after the
operation (3 weeks today almost to the hour!) – i am still a little numb and
swollen but the wounds are fabulous (if you can describe a wound as fabulous)
and my new belly button is just lovely, I can’t wait to get it pierced now
before my holiday later in the year – I am healing really well, up and about and
back at work last week (just took 2 weeks off) and nobody knows any
different!
It
has changed my life already, I feel more confident, am not always sitting up and
hiding my belly, I am already walking around without hiding my body and for 47 I
have a figure!! I cannot stop looking in the mirror!
I
would definitely recommend Mr V, he always has time to talk to you,
answer questions and he even gave me a reassuring hug before I went down for my
operation (which lasted 4 hours!).
Thank
you for providing me with his details, I will definitely stay with Mr V
for any future surgery.
Kind
regards Tracey
If
you would like to be in touch with Tracey, please ask me for her email
address. We left out the name of the hospital because they have been told about the problems and
should be offering a better service now.
